PokéSurvivor held items

Last updated · Unofficial fan guide · Facts checked against the official site and game source

Held items are run-long modifiers. You can carry only one, so the choice matters. Effects below come from the game's item data; the verdicts are our opinion.

All 11 held items

ItemEffectOur take
LeftoversRecover 1.5% of max HP per second.Best all-round sustain. 1.5% of max HP per second adds up fast on long runs and scales with HP upgrades.
Choice Band+40% damage, but you cannot switch moves.Highest raw damage (+40%) but locks your active move. Great with a single evolved move or once bonds fuse several moves into one slot.
Quick Claw-20% cooldown on all moves.Safe, universal pick. -20% cooldown is effectively more damage on every move without the Choice lock.
Focus SashA hit that would knock you out leaves you at 1 HP (once every 60 s).Insurance against one-shots, recharges every 60 s. Strong for learning boss patterns in rifts.
Shell BellHeal from the damage you deal.Sustain that rewards damage: best on aggressive builds, especially melee.
Amulet Coin+50% PokéCoins at the end of the run.Pure farming: +50% PokéCoins when the run ends. Take it when you are comfortable surviving.
Lucky Egg+30% experience.+30% experience means more level-up cards and earlier evolutions; strong early in a run.
Life Orb+30% damage, but each attack costs a little HP.+30% damage with an HP cost per attack. Pair with Leftovers-style sustain from upgrades.
Choice Scarf+35% movement speed.+35% speed for kiting and chasing shinies or fleeing Meowth, but locks your move.
Rocky HelmetEnemies that hit you in melee take damage.Punishes melee enemies that touch you; niche but fun on tanky partners.
Assault Vest+20% damage reduction.+20% damage reduction, a simple defensive pick for bosses and late game.

Where to find items

  • Chests: normal chests sometimes contain one; locked chests (stand next to them for a few seconds) often do.
  • Bosses drop held items when defeated.
  • In co-op, choosing which item to keep pauses the run for everyone (since 12 Oct).
The "Full bag" achievement asks for 5 different items and "Antiquarian" for all 11. See achievements.

Quick picks

  • New players: Leftovers or Quick Claw.
  • Boss and rift fights: Focus Sash or Assault Vest.
  • Farming coins: Amulet Coin (stack with the Fortune upgrade on the upgrades page).
  • Max damage: Choice Band with a single evolved move, see builds.
